Original Items: Only one set available. This is an extremely high quality private purchase U.S. Aviator's tunic manufactured by "Stratford Garment, designed and tailored by John Rissman & Co, 5th Ave, Chicago" as seen on the fine label to the interior pocket.

It is interesting to note that this is just about the highest bespoke tailoring available in the USA during the First World War period and yet this guy in fact was only a staff sergeant. The likelihood is that he was the son of a wealthy Chicago household and with the impetuousness of youth volunteered for the Army Air Force with dreams of becoming an air ace.

Unfortunately, we can find no owner's name in either tunic or jodhpurs. Constructed of fine wool the color of tunic and jodhpurs vary, as was the fashion of the day. Tunic is approximately size 36" and jodhpur pants are approximately size 27" waist.
